  a few years ago at one of the conventions, there was a talk on gods remarkable creation.

  one of the slides showed a giant sequoia tree, approximately 5000 years old!.

  later another talk was about noah etc.

  last thursday poyner spruill, a prominent north carolina law firm, announced a victory in a pro bono case involving religious freedom of incarcerated jehovah's witnesses.

  the poyner team was appointed by the u.s. district court for the western district of north carolina to represent an inmate challenging the state’s policy governing how and when jehovah’s witnesses can worship in prison.

  the state’s policy classified jehovah’s witnesses as a subset of christian protestants and, on that basis, prohibited separate jehovah’s witness meetings—an infringement on religious freedom under the first amendment.

  JW.ORG delivering food to JWs in California

  so a couple of weeks ago my wife (who is an active jw) got a delivery of apples, oranges, potatoes, carrots and onions.. the story i heard was that the "branch bought a bunch of food that would go to waste and was delivering it".. i am in california and a friend of mine in another cong.

  50 or so miles away had the same thing happen.. a few days ago we got another delivery and as a matter of fact my wife was asked if she could "help jehovah with delivering his gifts".

  unfortunately she is in poor health and unable to so so.. anyway, the story seems fabricated to me and i am wondering what is really going on.. does anybody have any ideas?

  Our circuit thing fell apart. I hear there is a lot of rice and beans left. The little produce was old and sometimes moldy.

  Kel Tech makes recoil operated guns. Very accurate as a rule, and smaller price, reliable. The one drawback is weight as they use a zinc slide to compensate for the pressure and recoil. That gets into a discussion of physics and how higher pressure cartridges work. A 9mm is high, a. 380 isnt, a. 22 isnt.

  How about american culture? But choose the better parts to encourage. Family picnics, visiting grandma, going to church, having feasts on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, 4th of july. I know this is Ozzie and Harriet. .... You look at families picture with people in their Sunday best, bric a brac on the mantle, all you should see is people

  I have a black friend who had the exact experience I did; going to convention laying on the floor of the station wagon because there wasnt enough room, with a WT in the window.

  Wait until they require headcoverings all the time. I watched a YouTube of southern church singers and the women all wore a nice lace cap, long dresses.

  What thecold story was is they do regional covers, and translate idioms for the languages. Same message though. If you look at some of t the study articles you recognize material for a different culture--usually why a practice is bad
